60th Annual Hyannis Rotary Home Show

Rotary Club of Hyannis mounts its 60th annual home show March 17 and 18, 2018, and continues to expand its offerings.  The “Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show” is an annual spring rite, a favorite of Cape Codders and others throughout the region.  The event will give residents of all ages a multitude of enjoyable activities and businesses a chance to meet new customers, all while helping Hyannis Rotary Club raise money in its largest annual fundraiser, the proceeds of which are turned back to the community in scholarships and grants.
In multiple spaces in and around Barnstable High School, more than 150 exhibitors display products and services for home renovation, landscaping, and lifestyle enhancement.  The second annual 5K “Good Run for Good Works” takes place on Saturday (shorter distances for kids). New this year is the “Mini Kids Rodeo and Bike Safety Clinic” including bike games, safety checks, and riding techniques.  More details at www.hyannisrotary.org— including online registration for the walk/run events.
Thousands of people from throughout the region will attend this year. They can get soil tested by Cape Cod Master Gardeners, attend flower arranging workshops, inspect scores of home improvement options for indoors and out, and enjoy lunch with new healthy eating choices and food trucks, with the school’s cafeteria open for plenty of seating along with live music. Raffles for cash prizes and a Costa Rica vacation add to the excitement.
Children’s activities are also expanded this year:  the ever-popular face painting returns, and craft-making and games supervised by Rotarians are added, as well as the half-mile run for kids 7–12, and a 100-meter run for kids 6 and under.
Hyannis Rotary Club was founded in 1925 and has awarded thousands of scholarships and more than a million dollars in grants. From the Faith Neighborhood Kitchen to Champ Homes; from a new band shell on the Hyannis Green to the electronic scoreboard for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks; from Cape Cod Healthcare’s bloodmobile to scores of nonprofits, Hyannis Rotary puts its money into the community—and the Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show is the major source of the dollars for the Club’s “Good Works.”
Support Hyannis Rotary Club’s good work while having an informative and fun day.  Join the thousands of people from all over the region on March 17 and 18.
