Agway of Cape Cod will mark its Silver Anniversary – 25 years in business on Cape Cod – with a Fall Festival Celebration on Saturday, October 6th. The party will take place at Agway of Orleans from 12-4 PM and is free for all!
People and dogs are invited for a day of food, activities and live music. Festivities include pumpkin decorating, face painting, a bouncy house, a hay maze, door prizes, giveaways and complimentary food. Devil’s Purse Beer and Wine will be available for sale with proceeds benefiting the Cape & Islands Police K-9 Relief Fund. Pups can enjoy snacks courtesy of the Stella & Chewy’s “Yappetizer Bar”, get a doggie tattoo, and chase bacon-flavored bubbles. Live music will be provided by the Aaron Northcross Trio throughout the day. At noon, a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony will be held with the Orleans Chamber of Commerce.
Agway of Cape Cod is a third generation, family run business with locations in Dennis, Chatham and Orleans. The store has been owned and operated by the Wile Family of Brewster since its debut in Orleans in 1993. Today, Agway’s three stores employ more than 100 employees during the peak season. Agway also supports dozens of local non-profit organizations, and in 2016, launched The Agway of Cape Cod Charitable Foundation to continue those philanthropic initiatives.
“As a small, family run business, we’re so lucky and proud to have reached this milestone,” said Agway Co-Owner Jessica Wile-Thomas. “Cape Cod definitely has its own challenges for small businesses, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere but here. We feel blessed to be a part of this special, supportive community and that includes our customers, our local businesses, our many non-profit organizations, and everyone who calls this place home. We’re looking forward to celebrating all of that with our customers, and their furry friends, next weekend!”
