HYANNIS, MA, ISSUED April 11, 2019…… The Barnstable Youth Hockey Association’s 10th Annual BYHA Fishing Tournament organized by E.J. Jaxtimer Builder, Inc. will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019.
Since 2009, the BYHA Fishing Tournament has provided the Barnstable Youth Hockey Association with the additional funds needed to help expand and make youth hockey more affordable to the local community. In total, this tournament has raised over $235,000, giving more children the opportunity to participate in the hockey programs which also include the scholarship program.
The 10th Annual BYHA Fishing Tournament will take place at Baxter’s Fish ‘n’ Chips, Hyannis, on Thursday, June 27, 2019, with the Captain’s Meeting held the night before. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, a women’s angler division has been added to this year’s tournament. An estimated 30 boats with over 150 adult and junior anglers will participate. The day will end with an award ceremony and dinner sponsored by Baxter’s Fish ‘n’ Chips. This tournament would not be possible without Sam and Ben Baxter who donate the use of their facilities in support of the BYHA program.
The tournament is now seeking local business sponsorship donations in the amounts of $1,000, $750, $500 and $250 as well as donation items for the captain’s buckets and raffle prizes.
