Blumshapiro Moves, Expands To New Boston Location

Blumshapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England with offices in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Virginia, has moved their Boston office location at One International Place in downtown Boston to Two International Place.

Blumshapiro’s Massachusetts headquarters are located in Quincy.

This new location leased by blumshapiro offers 9,995 square feet of office space on the 22nd floor of the Financial District skyscraper.  Previously, blumshapiro subleased approximately 3,500 square feet of office space on the 16th floor of neighboring One International Place.  The One International Place office marked the firm’s first Massachusetts location after expanding from Connecticut about nine years ago.  Throughout this time, blumshapiro has expanded further throughout the state, with additional offices in Quincy, Newton, North Andover, and Worcester.

The new expanded Boston location was a strategic decision by blumshapiro to ensure the firm could better service their clients headquartered downtown, as well as provide a more convenient working solution for blum’s employees who live downtown.  Brian Renstrom, managing partner of the firm’s Massachusetts offices and director of blum’s Advisory Sources Group, will lead this new location.

Although blumshapiro received their certificate of occupancy in late March, the space remained vacant until recently in adherence with the Massachusetts reopening plan.  Blumshapiro plans to fully adhere to the 50 percent occupancy guidelines now in place, and is ensuring all cleanliness, distancing, and PPE protocols are being followed.  Additionally, elevator and parking garage caps will come into play in terms of staffing levels.

Under optimum conditions, the space is configured for about 50 to 60 people, with 35 individual workstations, 14 private offices, and a 16-person conference room that overlooks Boston Harbor.

“Our new space at Two International Place represents our strong belief that we need a downtown Boston presence to locate us among some of the best companies in the state, while providing a high-quality work environment for our employees who live and service clients downtown,” said Renstrom.  “The IP2 Tower is a different configuration than our previous office, offering us an intimate space with outstanding views and beautiful quality, along with great access, which is additionally helpful in our current environment.”
