Brian Regan Named CIO At Asset Management Resources

Asset Management Resources LLC of Hyannis has announced that Brian J. Regan, CFA® has been promoted to chief investment officer, effective immediately.

In this role Regan will primarily be responsible for the firm’s investment policy, research, and portfolio design and implementation. He will report to J. Christopher Boyd, founder and chief executive officer of Asset Management Resources, LLC.

Boyd will continue to work directly with clients and manage the business, allowing additional opportunity to focus on strategic planning for the firm’s growth.

Regan has extensive experience in portfolio risk management, asset allocation, fixed income security selection, equity security selection, and macro-economic analysis. Prior to this promotion, Regan served as portfolio manager at Asset Management Resources, responsible for managing the firm’s investment research, portfolio design and implementation. Per the firm’s policy, he will continue to receive input
AMR’s other experienced professionals when setting investment policy.

Prior to joining Asset Management Resources, Regan managed a $15 billion corporate cash fixed income portfolio at EMC Corporation. There he also maintained fiduciary responsibilities for the corporate pension and retirement plans. Succeeding the Dell acquisition of EMC, Regan became a management consultant in the restructure and sale of Mid States Supply Company, the restructuring and sale of Enersafe, Inc., and the restructuring of a popular toy company. He began his career at State Street Bank’s Treasury Department as a balance sheet consultant for a $110 billion portfolio after completing their highly selective Financial Analyst Rotational Program. He received awards for excellence including the State Street Above & Beyond award and the EMC Gold, Silver & Bronze awards.

In 2015, the CFA Institute and the Boston Securities Analyst Society credentialed Brian as a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder (CFA®) through passing a series of tests. The CFA institute promotes good stewardship and high ethical standards.

Brian graduated cum laude from Boston University’s School of Management. He resides in Boston.
