In 2017\, looking for a way to spend more time on Cape Cod and less time in Worcester\, Barbara conceived of an idea that would simplify the divorce process\, reduce the expense\, and take the “nasty” out of divorce by helping couples who have decided to part ways amicably work out the details to dissolve their marital partnerships. \nWith a $19.00 dollar mailbox at Cape Space and a free Google listing\, Cape Cod Uncontested Divorce was born. For one low cost\, Barbara helps couples reach a full agreement\, prepares all of the documents\, and walks them through the court process. Demand for this unique service has been so great that Barbara now operates from six offices in Massachusetts and via Zoom. She has offices in Hyannis\, Plymouth\, Newton\, Worcester\, Springfield and Pittsfield and accepts cases from every county in the Commonwealth. \nMs. Liftman is a cum laude graduate of Brandeis University and Suffolk University Law School. She is a single parent and has first-hand experience with divorce\, co-parenting\, blended families and the complex emotions that go along with divorce and starting over. A proud washashore since 2006\, she brings her talents to the worlds of poetry\, theater\, film\, photography\, graphic design\, journalism\, podcasting\, activism\, and public speaking. \nShe has performed\, collaborated\, organized and produced several live social\, political\, and musical events\, theater productions\, and art installations\, and continues to serve as a vibrant force within Cape Cod’s creative and activist communities. Her recent performances include the Nantucket Poetry Festival\, the Independence House International Festival\, and her monthly hosted 438 Open Mic; an inclusive space Tamora hosts in partnership with Belonging Books\, held at The Cordial Eye in Hyannis at 438 Main Street. \nIn February 2025\, Tamora wrote\, co-produced\, co-directed\, and starred in an original live theater production of\, Poetry From My Brain Parts\, debuting at her alma mater\, Cape Cod Community College.
