DESCRIPTION:WHAT: Local dignitaries and donors will join the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod for a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Teen Center. The nearly 10\,000 square-foot Center will be built adjacent to the Boys & Girls Club’s Kraft Family Clubhouse in Mashpee\, Massachusetts. \n\nThe Teen Center will fulfil a critical need for local youth\, providing them with mental health counseling\, homework support and assistance with college applications and career readiness\, as well as recreational activities. The Center will be equipped with an education room\, a music room with a recording studio\, an art room\, a full kitchen and snack bar\, game room\, health and fitness room and an indoor basketball court. More than $6 million has been raised for the project thus far. The new Teen Center is expected to open in February 2027. The building was designed by architect Henry Arnaudo\, HPA design. In kind donations\, including a library of signed first edition books by national best-selling authors such as Cape Cod native Casey Sherman (The Finest Hours)\, and William Martin (Cape Cod)\, Hank Phillippi Ryan (All This Could Be Yours)\, Joseph Finder (The Oligarch’s Daughter) & Dave Wedge (Blood & Hate: The Untold Story of Marvelous Marvin Hagler’s Rise to Glory)\, and donations from the Boston Celtics have been secured for the new Teen Center. NWN is working with Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod to develop a custom-built AI educational program while also consulting about their new facility’s technology investments. \n\nWHEN: Thursday\, May 14\, 2026 at 11 AM \n  \nWHERE: Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod\, 31 Frank E.
