DESCRIPTION:Join Tocci & Lee and Antioch Associates for our annual H-2B Visa Info Session on how to access the H-2B Visa process for temporary seasonal employees. \n\nThe H-2B visa program is part of the United States Citizen and Immigration Service (USCIS) otherwise known as the Department of Homeland Security. In conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)\, employers who can prove a temporary\, seasonal or periodic recurring need for full-time workers in particular job titles that cannot be filled with U.S. workers are certified to bring in Temporary Foreign Workers to fill those positions for a specific period of up to 9 full months. The processing and requirements are significantly different from J-1 visa workers who are students allowed to work on a temporary basis if their stay in the USA is tied to cultural exchange. To be certified\, employers are required to provide payroll and tax documentation showing that their need for seasonal labor for a specific job title is periodic or traditionally tied to a season of the year by an event or pattern of a recurring nature. A recognized voice in elevating Black excellence and supporting BIPOC-owned businesses\, she is committed to helping individuals transform hustle into long-term success.\nFeatured Spoken Word Performance: Tamora Israel\nTamora Israel is an interdisciplinary artist\, performer\, and cultural organizer based on Cape Cod by way of Long Island\, NY\, and a proud washashore since 2006. A newlywed to her amazing wife and best friend\, B. Dean\, Tamora brings her talents to poetry\, theater\, film\, photography\, graphic design\, journalism\, podcasting\, activism\, and public speaking. She has produced\, performed in\, and organized numerous artistic\, social\, and political events throughout the region\, including the Nantucket Poetry Festival\, her signature show Poetry From My Brain Parts\, and the monthly 438 Open Mic with Belonging Books at The Cordial Eye. Her multidisciplinary production of Poetry From My Brain Parts premiered at Cape Cod Community College in 2025 and returns to the Cotuit Center for the Arts in March 2026.
