Cape Cod Chamber recognizes local immigrant entrepreneurs

The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce recently nominated two local businesses for the 2018 Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards, held by the Immigrant Learning Center in Malden.  The Cape nominees in the Neighborhood Business category were: Katrina Morozova of Russia, owner of Lash Boutique in Hyannis, and Jitka Borowick of the Czech Republic, owner of Cleangreen Inc. in Barnstable.
The Chamber’s nominees joined 40 others hailing from 24 different countries who were recognized for creating more than 2,000 jobs in Massachusetts and generating income and investment totaling nearly $1 billion.
The Immigrant Learning Center is a nonprofit organization that aims to give immigrants a voice in society by offering English classes, informing Americans about economic and social contributions of immigrants in society, and conducting research on the economic contributions of immigrants.
The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization that advocates on behalf of business to strengthen and promote regional economic vitality, while addressing related cultural, environmental and community concerns.
