SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Cape Cod Foundation will present a virtual community forum,
“Housing and Homelessness Across Cape Cod” on Thursday, April 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

It is the second in a series of forums planned for 2021 to share information about the region’s current
needs, resources, and opportunities for community engagement with a larger audience.

The lack of affordable, diverse housing options on Cape Cod impacts every part of our
community,” said Kristin O’Malley, president and CEO of The Cape Cod Foundation. “It posed
significant challenges prior to the pandemic, and local agencies are now reporting increases of
over 400 percent for financial assistance related to housing needs.”

Presenters who will join O’Malley for the forum are Jay Coburn, CEO, Community
Development Partnership; Alisa Magnotta, CEO, Housing Assistance Corporation; and Heidi
Romans Nelson, CEO, Duffy Health Center.

The forum is free and open to all. It will also be recorded to share after the event. Register at
capecodfoundation.org to attend or to receive a link to the recording after the event.

A link to a recording of the foundation’s first forum, “Food Security and Access Across Cape Cod”
is also available on the website.

Upcoming forums will address mental and behavioral health, education and other key issues.
