In an effort to achieve several important goals, Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC) will relocate 225 jobs to 297 North Street at the west end of Hyannis in early 2018.
The office spaces will accommodate members of the Finance, Marketing and Strategy divisions of CCHC. These departments will be located in a building adjacent to the existing offices of the CCHC Physician Hospital Organization, increasing economic support of this area of downtown Hyannis with an influx of full-time, professional jobs.
“We have long been committed to the economic health of Hyannis and our community,” said Michael K. Lauf, President and CEO of CCHC. “In recent years, we have taken steps to improve and beautify our hospital campus and other facilities in Hyannis and throughout Cape Cod. We have worked closely with the Hyannis Chamber of Commerce and the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District to support revitalization efforts throughout town, and this project is a result, in part, of this collaboration.”
Along with adding professional offices as an economic anchor to the west end of downtown, the move will consolidate three CCHC departments in one location, thereby improving efficiencies.
CCHC has signed a long-term lease with building owner Stuart Bornstein and has begun an ambitious design and construction project to renovate the building and the surrounding area. All three floors of the 30,000-square-foot building will be renovated to best suit the work environment necessary for the three departments. In addition to office spaces, aspects will include conference rooms, a cafeteria, improvements to exterior common areas and gated parking lots for employee parking.
The location will allow employees to walk to Main Street and adjoining areas for shopping and dining.
“This initiative is a win-win for all: CCHC, the community and our employees,” said Lauf. “We will continue to look for ways to provide the latest and best healthcare in the latest and best facilities, as well as ways to improve the communities in which we do business.”
