Nonprofit organization Cape Cod Young Professionals announced today the launch of a new workshop series: Navigating Your Personal Brand, a multi-part course hosted by Meghan Rothschild, President of Chikmedia, a local Marketing and PR agency. The workshop series begins in January 2020, with registration available via the CCYP website at www.capecodyoungprofessionals.org.
Sessions in the Navigating Your Personal Brand series will cover how to curate a professional online presence, how to identify marketable strengths, and how to build a stronger personal brand to increase future job and career opportunities. The series focuses on the pieces that make up a strong personal brand, as well as Social Media Strategy, Public Speaking, and Interpersonal Communication Skills.
CCYP recommends the course for professionals in any industry, at any experience level, though the series is specifically tailored to reach individuals just starting out in their careers and those looking to take the next step into a management or leadership role.
Course facilitator, Meghan Rothschild, will apply her expertise in marketing, branding, and public relations to show course participants how to promote themselves and their strengths to prospective employers and the business community.
“I’m very honored to be working with CCYP,” said Meghan Rothschild, President of Chikmedia. “This branding workshop is intended to give people the tools they need to take the next step in their career.”
For CCYP, the workshop and partnership with ChikMedia are a new and innovative type of offering – a clear win for the Cape’s young professional community. “Personal branding is a well-known – but often overlooked – concept that can make or break your chances in landing that next great career opportunity or dream job,” said Lauren Barker, Chief Executive Officer of CCYP. “This series is perfect for anyone who is looking to advance their professional opportunities here on Cape Cod.”
Dates for the Navigating Your Personal Brand Course are Thursday, January 16th, Thursday, February 13th and Thursday March 12th, 8 AM to 10 AM at the Mid-Cape Conference Center in West Yarmouth (22 Mid-Tech Drive). The cost is $50 per individual session, or $125 for all three dates. The fourth and final session in the workshop series will be offered separately on Thursday April 9th during CCYP’s Shape Your Cape Summit event at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel Falmouth. Registration for the fourth session – which will highlight content covered throughout the workshop series – will be offered via CCYP’s Shape Your Cape Summit event registration process, kicking off in early December.
