Cape Symphony & Conservatory has welcomed Jeanne Long, who relocated from Mystic, Connecticut, to Cape Cod to assume the position of Director of Development for the combined organization.
“Jeanne’s professional experience is a great addition to the Cape Symphony & Conservatory team. As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on generous business and individual donor support. Jeanne will take the lead in our fundraising strategy, helping to ensure that we can continue to provide outstanding educational and entertainment opportunities to people of all ages here on the Cape,” said Linda Mawhinney, Chief Operating Officer.
A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, Long proudly served in the United States Coast Guard.  She is passionate about connecting people to the arts through philanthropy and innovative partnerships. She has extensive experience in managing annual giving, major gifts and planned giving teams. As a result, she has helped raise millions of dollars and initiated new mission-based programming for Mystic Aquarium, The New England Collegiate Baseball League and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
“I’m excited to be here on Cape Cod as the newest member of the Cape Symphony & Conservatory team. I’m looking forward to meeting the Cape community, and helping to propel this amazing organization to even greater heights by raising both funds and awareness for its mission of inspiring joy through the arts,” said Long.
Long is an avid swimmer, wife to Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame inductee Dennis Long, and mom to six grown daughters.
