Cape & Plymouth Business to Host “Cannabiz 2019; The Journey Continues” on May 22; Steven Hoffman, Chair of Cannabis Control Commission to Present Keynote

HYANNIS, MA, ISSUED April 15, 2019…Cape & Plymouth Business (www.capeplymouthbusiness.com), a monthly magazine serving the business needs of Cape Cod and the South Shore, will host “Cannabiz 2019: The Journey Continues” on Wednesday, May 22 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Cape Codder Resort & Spa, 1225 lyannough Road, Hyannis.
The event will bring together numerous cannabis industry experts who will conduct breakout sessions to address both the facts and myths about the industry and speak to the business opportunities surrounding cannabis in the Commonwealth.
Steven J. Hoffman, Chairman of the Cannabis Control Commission, will deliver the opening keynote address while closing keynote remarks will be presented by Adam Fine of Vicente Sederberg, Tito Jackson, CEO of Verdant Medical and Wendy Northcross, CEO of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
“Cannabiz 2019” will feature nine 45-minute breakout sessions covering a wide variety of topics, including the unique tax issues affecting businesses within the cannabis industry, the benefits of Cannabidiol (CBP) products for mind and body care and what municipalities need to know to make the proper decisions for their community.
Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse, Mashpee Selectman Andrew Gottlieb and Orleans Selectman Alan McClennen are among the breakout session panelists slated to appear.

Registration/networking on May 22 begins at 12:30 p.m. with the opening keynote speech slated for 1:00.  Breakout sessions will begin at 2:00, followed by closing keynote presentations.
