Cape Cod Young Professionals, Inc. (CCYP), a nonprofit organization that works to connect, engage, and advance Cape Cod’s young workforce and future leaders, invites community members to share their big ideas for Cape Cod’s future through a special live pitch event, “Big Ideas for Cape Cod.” The event will take place May 15, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Cape Cod Beer (1336 Phinney’s Lane, Hyannis), and is free for all participants, whether they choose to pitch or be part of the audience. Attendees are asked to register in advance through CCYP’s website and may also sign up through the website to give their “Big Idea” pitch (www.capecodyoungprofessionals.org).
Each live pitch participant will have just two minutes to present. Big Idea pitches may highlight a solution to a community challenge; share positive actions or success stories already occurring on the Cape; or propose community goals and priorities. Following the series of live pitches, audience members will be asked to vote for their favorite Big Idea. The top pitch will receive a $250 cash prize.
“The inaugural Big Ideas event will take the idea of community planning and turn it on its head,” said Cape Cod Young Professionals’ CEO Lauren Barker. “This event will move conversations about the Cape’s future out of the board room and onto a public stage where the next generation of Cape Codders can showcase their innovation and creativity.”
Big Ideas for Cape Cod is generously sponsored by Kinlin Grover Real Estate and hosted by Cape Cod Beer. For additional details, to register for the event, or to sign up for a live pitch, visit www.capecodyoungprofessionals.org.
