Exclusive bourbon will be released June 2019
Chatham, MA – May 28, 2019 – Luxury Cape Cod resort Chatham Bars Inn is set to unveil a custom finished Chatham Bars Inn Maker’s Mark Private Select® Bourbon. Chatham Bars Inn is only the second resort in Massachusetts to create a custom Private Select. The resort will pour over 53 gallons of the bourbon throughout the summer months and infuse it into their elevated cocktail selection. The partnership will kick off in June with two commemorative events: The Maker’s Mark Release Party ($75 per person) on Friday, June 7 and The Maker’s Mark Bourbon Dinner ($150 per person) on Saturday, June 8.
To create the distinct flavor profile, The Chatham Bars Inn beverage team hand-selected wood finishing staves such as Baked American Pure, Seared French Cuvée, Maker’s 46®, Roasted French Mocha, and Toasted French Spice to create this bespoke bourbon at the Maker’s Mark Distillery in Kentucky. The finished bourbon has characteristics of cherry, plum, stone fruit and spice.
The Maker’s Mark partnership perfectly complements Chatham Bars Inn’s multi-faceted culinary program. For more than 100 years, the resort’s long-standing passion for locally-sourced and sustainable cuisine has been nourished by its culinary and beverage teams. At the nearby 8-acre farm, Farm Manager Josh Schiff has overseen the reinvigoration of the sandy soil found on Cape Cod. The result? 30,000 pounds of fresh and sustainable produce per year is now used at Chatham Bars Inn’s four esteemed restaurants headed by Executive Chef Anthony Cole, including Stars, Sacred Cod, The Verandah, and The Beach House. The use of farm fresh ingredients extends to the resort’s cocktail program. The mixology team, headed by Adam Couto, creatively uses locally grown ingredients from the farm to create homemade juices and concentrates, combined with shrubs, edible flowers and more.
