The Town of Harwich is in the process of designing a municipal sewer main for East Harwich. According to the Town, the sewer designs will be completed by January 2019. Property owners will be required to select the location of their connection “stub” starting next May when construction begins. Planning for the future connection now, before the sewer is designed, could help to minimize the amount of disruption to each property during construction. Coastal Engineering will hold two free information sessions at Harwich Community Center to educate property owners on their responsibilities, as well as share ideas on how to save money while connecting to the sewer. The dates are Monday, August 6, 9am-noon and Wednesday, August 15, 3-6pm. (Content will be the same so pick the date and time that works best for you!) Registration at coastalengineeringcompany.com/harwich-sewer by August 1, 2018 is encouraged, but walk-ins are also welcome.
