Davenport Companies Donate To A Baby Center, Katelynn’s Closet

A Baby Center in Hyannis and Katelynn’s Closet in South Yarmouth will share in more than $10,000 in donations from The Davenport Companies’ Charitable Giving Program this holiday season.

Checks were delivered to both organizations this week after donations were collected from employees of The Davenport Companies. Every dollar donated by team members was matched by the company.

“As our entire community continues to be impacted by COVID-19, the need across Cape Cod is greater than ever. Both organizations benefitting from the Charitable Giving Program this year are on the front line of people impacted by the virus,” said Christian Davenport, Vice-President/Operations of The Davenport Companies.

Established in 2009, Katelynn’s Closet provides needy children on Cape Cod and the Islands, ages 4-18, with clothing, footwear, and basics to help them maintain their dignity and foster self-esteem.

A Baby Center in Hyannis supplements critical basic needs to ensure the health and safety of babies on Cape Cod and the Islands. The services are provided at no cost to clients.

The Davenport Companies, established in 1956, is a fourth-generation family-owned business employing over 1,300 people at more than a dozen companies throughout New England.
