(DENNIS, MA August 13, 2024) –The Dennis Chamber of Commerce will kick off its annual Festival Days with the 66th Antique Car Parade on Sunday, August 25 at West Dennis Beach. The parade starts at 11 am and rolls through all the villages of Dennis before ending at the Dennis Town Hall with a cookout and refreshments for purchase.
Registration is now open at $15 per car or $20 on parade day. Entry forms may be picked up at the Dennis Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center at 242 Swan River Road in West Dennis or downloaded from www.dennischamber.com.
Ribbons will be given to all registrants.
Festival Days will continue with Field Day on Monday, August 26 at Johnny Kelley Park in South Dennis. Free activities include a kick ball featuring the Cape Adult Sports League at 4:30 pm, a pie eating contest, touch a truck, fire safety house, JT Chronicles music, food trucks and more.
Mr. Gotcha will perform a free outdoor concert in Dennis Port at 6 pm, Tuesday, August 27 in the Dennis Port Village Green on Hall Street.
Chandler Travis Three-O will perform a free outdoor concert from 5:30 – 6:45 pm on Thursday, August 29 at the Dennis Village Green, Route 6A in Dennis from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm.
Festival Days will culminate with the annual beach party and fireworks on Sunday, September 1 on West Dennis Beach. This fun family event features live music from Hidden Agenda, a bonfire, marshmallow roasting, and the 35th annual fireworks display. Admission and parking are free, including shuttle bus transportation from Ezra Baker Elementary School and the Graded School to and from the beach starting at 5:30 pm.
