Dick Fairbanks Appointed Interim Board Chair of Cape and Islands United Way

Hyannis, MA, June 11, 2024 — The Cape and Islands United Way is pleased to announce the appointment of Dick Fairbanks as the Interim Board Chair. Fairbanks has been an integral part of the Cape and Islands United Way for over 20 years, serving in various leadership capacities that have significantly contributed to the organization’s growth and impact. His extensive history with the United Way includes previous tenures as Board Chair, Board Member, Fundraising Chair, and Founder. This diverse experience has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s mission, operations, and strategic goals.

Fairbanks replaces Steve Cundall as Board Chair, who stepped down in May to focus on his business initiatives as the owner of Leadshift. “We extend our thanks to Steve Cundall for his leadership, direction and support of the organization.
