Early Childhood And Childcare Virtual Town Hall Scheduled

In response to the critical need for early childhood education and childcare, Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and Cape Cod Young Professionals are co-sponsoring a Virtual Town Hall Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 7:30 a.m.

The development and care of children is a critical issue facing Cape Cod and the Islands especially with the pandemic, as regulations have limited capacity of childcare facilities or forced closures in some cases Join a panel of legislators, state and local officials, childcare providers and seekers who will discuss the issues and what options and resources are available to parents.

Panelists will include Department of Early Education and Care Commissioner of the Samantha Aigner-Treworgy, state Sen. Julian Cyr,  state Rep. Sarah Peake,  Barnstable County Department of Human Services Deputy Director Vaira Harik,  Eastham Town Administrator Jacqueline Beebe, Cape Cod YMCA President & CEO Stacie Peugh and Orleans Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Noelle Pina.

Moderator is Kevin Howard, a member of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce Reopening Task Force.
