Wellfleet, MA– At Wellfleet Preservation Hall on Thursday, December 6th, EforAll Cape Cod held a
Pitch Contest showcasing ideas from all aspects of businesses from Cape Cod and beyond.
Nine different entrepreneurs came to show off their businesses, ranging from a non-profit supporting
breast cancer survivors to hand-painted fish on upcycled shingles. Seven of the business, were
preselected to give a two-and-a-half minute pitch for cash prizes. There was an additional presenter
chosen that night as a “table favorite”.
Judges listening to each pitch, scored based on the clarity of the idea and presentation of the
entrepreneur. The presenters were asked to focus on the following questions: what was the
opportunity that led to the idea, who is the customer/market, how will it be sustainable as a business
or non-profit, and how will the prize money be used. The judges included Kim Bilderback of AT&T,
Lisa Connors of Cape Cod Magazine, Molly MacGregor of Cape Cod Harley Davidson, and Andrew
Stern of Global Development Incubator.
– The grand prize of $1,000 was awarded to Amy Fan of Kinder Pediatric Care which has developed
a virtual pediatric practice.
– Paula Sperry of Check Ups LLC, who is working to help small businesses prevent costly employee
injuries before they happen, walked home with the $750 Second Place prize.
– The Third place award of $500 went to Brianna Romme of Cape Cod Subscription Box which
proposes periodic deliveries of subscription gift boxes filled with goods from local Cape Cod
vendors.
– The audience declared Magdalena Crowley of Pierogi Catering their favorite and she went home
with the $500 fan favorite prize.
All EforAll events are free and Eforall will be hosting more Pitch Contests, networking events,
and an Accelerator Program twice a year. Finalists that apply to this Accelerator Program
receive three months of incredible mentorship and weekly workshops, access to technical
experts, and the opportunity to compete for thousands of dollars in cash prizes to launch their
