HYANNIS, MA (January 2, 2019) — A historic Showcase Event for Cape Cod entrepreneurship is planned for January 10, 2019, 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Barnstable Municipal Airport. 10 Cape Cod entrepreneurs will celebrate the culmination of a 12-week intensive Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) accelerator program. After much success in other parts of Massachusetts, EforAll expanded its operations, and launched a Cape Cod-based business accelerator program on July 2, 2018. At the Showcase, the inaugural class of 10 entrepreneurs will present their products and services, and the public is invited to attend this free event.
Dan Wolf will be the keynote speaker at the event hosted by Cape Cod Coffee. Dan Wolf is an entrepreneur, pilot, former politician, and CEO of Cape Air. When it was founded in 1989, Cape Air had one route, eight employees and about 8,000 passengers. Today it employs more than 700 people and serves more than 600,000 passengers every year. Dan also served as a Massachusetts State Senator from 2011-2016 where he was appointed as Chairman of the Committee on Labor and Workplace Development for each of his three terms in office.

In addition to Wolf’s keynote address, EforAll Cape Cod will award seed money to several of the graduating entrepreneurs to help them launch their businesses in the community. Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to be awarded up to $5,000. However, the cohort will have more opportunities throughout the year to be awarded cash prizes, as EforAll provides additional support for the next 9 months.
