Learn the Benefits of the CORE Plan and How It Can Work for Your 501(c) Nonprofit

June 22, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 9:30 am

Free

The Massachusetts Defined Contribution CORE Plan (“CORE Plan”) is a state-of-the-art multiple employer 401(k) retirement plan designed especially for the state’s smaller nonprofit organizations. The CORE Plan provides you the ability to focus your time and energy on the primary duties of your organization while offering an exceptional benefit to your employees.

The CORE Plan is a Multiple Employer Plan, which allows the combining of Plan assets between your organization and other organizations across the state, bringing down the costs of offering a full-featured 401(k). Nonprofit organizations based and chartered in Massachusetts and employing 20 or fewer staff may adopt the CORE Plan.

Lisa Cardinal, your local CORE Plan representative, will discuss the advantages and features of the CORE Plan, including:

  • Potentially lower cost for your organization
  • Oversight and fiduciary support from the Office of the State Treasurer
  • Straightforward administration for your benefits staff
  • Protections under ERISA for all participating employees

This 30-minute info session is free, but registration is required for the Zoom link.

We encourage all 501(c) nonprofit professionals as well as business professionals that serve on nonprofit boards to attend this information session.  Even if your nonprofit is too large to join the CORE Plan, please share this information with other nonprofits, with 20 or fewer employees, who you think might be interested.
