Medical terminology is an essential course for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the ever-expanding medical profession. Medical terminology has a base in Latin and Greek prefixes, suffixes and word roots. Learning these words and these languages makes it easier to understand the material and focus on the course work to be successful in your pursuit of your dream position.

The course provides a framework for students interested in the allied health profession. An emphasis is put on examining medical word parts and learning basic prefixes, suffixes, and word roots. The course highlights words while analyzing the human body systems, and basic anatomy and physiology including terms used in the disease process and the medical procedures that may be done for these disease processes.

This is an online program with the scheduled launch, mid-point, and wrap-up sessions with the instructor via Zoom on 9/13, 10/12 and 10/21 from 7-8 pm. Zoom guidance and instructions will be provided in advance of the first session.
