“Where does the money go?” It’s a question that Figawi answers on Wednesday, September 26th at the “Figawi Gives Back” event at Cape Cod Beer in Hyannis. The event starts at 6:30pm and is open to the public. The 20 recipient organizations include:
• Big Brothers Big Sisters
• Barnstable High School Sailing
• Yarmouth Police Foundation
• Holidays 4 Heroes in Nantucket
• A Baby Center
• Hyannis Public Library
• Hyannis Open Streets
• Marie Mitchell Association in Nantucket
• Barnstable Police & Fire Department Annual Kids Day
• Nantucket Fireman’s Association
This event also features special guest speaker Tom Duggan. Duggan is an International Race Officer & Umpire. He’s participated in the Olympic Games, is a long-time member of the US Sailing Race Management Committee & serves as the Chair of the World Sailing Race Management Subcommittee.
“Everyone who attended the Figawi Ball or who participated in the Figawi Race should be proud to see that their participation has generated tens of thousands of dollars to benefit twenty different Cape & Islands Community Organizations. We hope to see them at ‘Figawi Gives Back’ so they can help us celebrate the impact they’re having in the community.”
~ Leo Fein, Figawi President
