Rockland Trust has been named by Forbes 2020 World’s Best Banks as the top bank in Massachusetts. Rockland Trust was also ranked second among banks listed in New England.
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to develop the list, which was compiled through a global survey of more than 40,000 bank customers. This award is based on a consumer opinion-driven list of banks around the world.
Participants identified banks where they have opened checking or savings accounts and then rated both their willingness to recommend the banks and their overall satisfaction. Banks were scored based on how they fared in those two areas and were also evaluated on the criteria of trust, terms and conditions, customer services, digital services, and financial advice. The full list recognized more than 400 banks in 23 countries.

Last year, Rockland Trust was named by The Boston Globe to their Top Places to Work list for the 11th consecutive year and one of the Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality by Human Rights Campaign for the fifth straight year. They were honored as a top charitable contributor by the Boston Business Journal for the sixth consecutive year.
