“Fresh Ideas” Pitch Contest scheduled for March 21st

February 4, 2019 (Hyannis, MA) – Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) Cape Cod, Love Live Local & Buy Fresh, Buy Local have teamed up to bring the “Fresh Ideas Pitch Contest” to Cape Cod on March 21st. The pitch contest will be held at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, a lovingly restored former bank building that now houses artistic collections. The pitch contest will take place 6pm-8:30pm on Thursday, March 21st featuring pre-selected pitch contestants along with a contestant added by audience vote on the night of the event. Fresh ideas to fuel Cape Cod’s economy, ecology & culture is the theme of the event. Entry for spectators is free and food will be catered by The Local Juice.
Each participant will be given two and a half minutes to pitch their business or non-profit idea to a panel of judges and the audience. At the end of the night EforAll will give away $2,750 in seed money to help launch ideas in the community. The first place finisher will win $1,000; second place $750; third place; $500 and audience favorite $500. The event is an example of EforAll’s mission of using innovative means to foster entrepreneurial growth on Cape Cod.

 This is the final event in the Winter Harvest Series that Buy Fresh Buy Local Cape Cod and LoveLiveLocal produced throughout the winter of 2019 in order celebrate local crops, Cape Cod farms, and the local makers that use them year round. Other events included a local product showcase and a local food tasting.

Participants in the pitch contest are selected from a pool of applicants by a panel of volunteer readers from the community. The panel of judges features thought leaders from the community. The entire Cape Cod community is invited to attend as audience members and vote for their favorite idea. A pitch workshop will be offered on March 4th for any interested contestants.
