Shepley Wood Products and Andersen Windows recently presented a $5,000 donation to Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. As part of Andersen Windows Dealer Community Service Award, Shepley received a $5,000 donation from Andersen Corporation to a charity of the dealer’s choice. Shepley was selected by Andersen leaders to receive the first annual Dealer Community Service Award based on the company’s dedication to helping solve critical issues in their community.
“When we look at how we support an organization, we want to make more than a gift, we want to make an investment that benefits our community” Tony Shepley explained. “Habitat for Humanity is so much more than just an organization that builds houses, it builds communities and gives families a chance at homeownership they might not otherwise have available to them. Habitat was an easy choice for us.”
Shepley Wood Products has been a dedicated partner to Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod since they began in 1988. Since that time, Habitat has developed more than 140 affordable homes throughout all 15 towns on the Cape. Andersen and Habitat have partnered for more than 20 years to build quality affordable homes for families across the country, and around the world.
“Affordable housing is essential to a healthy and vibrant community and Habitat is committed to providing opportunities for young people and families to stay and thrive on Cape Cod. We see our partnership with Habitat lasting a very long time” said Shepley.
The donation was presented to Vicki Goldsmith, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod, at the Habitat Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Celebration held on Thursday, October 10, by Tony Shepley of Shepley Wood Products, along with Jim O’Connor and Brian Harding of Andersen Windows.
