Flower Angels USA is pleased to announce it has been awarded a new grant from the Hyannis Rotary.
“On behalf of all of our volunteers, I am grateful to receive this grant from the Hyannis Rotary”, said Suzanne Carter, founder of Flower Angels USA. “Our Cape Cod community has kindly supported our mission and through this support we are able to bring a touch of kindness to those in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehab centers and hospice patients across Cape Cod.”
There are an estimated 3,500 patients at 30 nursing care and rehab facilities across Cape Cod. Study data indicates that 60% of them never have a visitor.  This is where Flower Angels USA comes in. Using the combination of recycled and donated flowers, the craft and skill of 100 volunteers create beautiful bouquets and deliver them to reach those in need of a touch of kindness.
In presenting the award, Paul Gandillot of the Hyannis Rotary said: “The Rotary Club of Hyannis is pleased to provide Flower Angels with a $5,000 grant that will allow Flower Angels to modernize its technology infrastructure, which is so critical to supporting its unique mission. The Rotary Club of Hyannis has been privileged to assist Flower Angels since its inception, providing over 2,000 vases and several grants to assist with its wonderful mission. The number of lives touched by Flower Angels through its flower bouquets and smiling volunteers is inspiring to Rotarians and aligns with our motto of “Service above Self.”
Flower Angels USA is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting spirits and relieving loneliness by delivering bouquets of kindness to the elderly and disabled across Cape Cod!
