CHAMP Homes has received a $12,000 donation from the Hyannis Rotary Club’s “Good Works Fund” to purchase a van to support the organization with the transport of its residents to medical appointments and events as well to help deliver supplies, clothing and food.
The keys to the van were presented at a recent Hyannis Rotary Club meeting.
Beth Wade, CHAMP Homes’ Executive Director said: “We’re tremendously grateful for the generous Hyannis Rotary Good Works Fund donation. With the up to 50 residents we serve here at CHAMP Homes, it’s essential they’re able to get to work or medical appointments and so much more. Having reliable transportation is key every day!”
The Hyannis Rotary Club currently has 75 members and meets every Thursday at the Hyannis Country Club. Its members annually raise approximately $100,000 with every dollar donated to enhance the town of Barnstable. A good example  of Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”.
