The Little Big Fishing Tournament, sponsored by E.J. Jaxtimer Builder, raised nearly $85,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands on July 24.

The Little Big Fishing Tournament brought together 40 fishing boats and over 200 anglers for a day of fishing in Lewis Bay, Hyannis. The day ended with dinner provided by Baxter’s Fish ‘n’ Chips, an award ceremony that included raffle prizes and giveaways, followed by awards and medals given to the adult and junior anglers who caught the heaviest striped bass and bluefish.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands partners with under-resourced families to provide their children with transformational, one-to-one professionally-supported relationships with caring adult mentors, so that their children will thrive.

Due to the success of this tournament, BBBS will now be able to assist more at-risk youth on our community and can ensure that every child that needs support is able to receive it.
