Local boutiques come together for Spring Fashion Show to benefit WE CAN

The Current Quarterly, Cape Cod’s only dedicated fashion magazine, will host a fashion show at The Cultural Center of Cape Cod to benefit local non-profit, WE CAN, on Wednesday, April 25. Doors will open at 5:00 PM, with complimentary appetizers, WE CAN wine, raffle prizes, and music by DJ Ian Lee. The show will begin at 6:00PM. Tickets are $25 at www.thecurrentquarterly.com or at the door.
This is a unique version of a fashion show: it’s all about local retailers empowering Cape Cod women to feel beautiful. The models will be WE CAN program participants, volunteers and members of the Cape community, wearing the latest spring styles from these local boutiques and jewelers.
Participating boutiques include: Artichoke, Design Works, Devinto, Directions, Innerglow Yoga, Mysteriously Jointed, Shift, Sposabella, and Weekend.
After the show, there will be a pop-up shopping event, where these boutiques and other local vendors will set up temporary shop to sell their wares to the fashion show attendees.
Pop-up shops include: Jewelcraft, LoveLocal Collective, Lydia Leclair, Melefant, Cape Cod Chokers, Inner Glow, Mysteriously Jointed, Cape Cod Beach Sand Jewelry, Artichoke, The Bridal Studio & Spa, Atelier Permanent Makeup, Sheryl Baba Skincare, and Summer House Soaps.
This is the sixth year in a row The Current Quarterly has raised funds for WE CAN. Editor Amanda Converse says, “They are a great partner to us, and an even better partner to the community. The work they do on behalf of women on Cape Cod is invaluable, and we want to support that in any way we can.”
Since 2001, WE CAN has provided unique, practical services – including mentoring, 1-1 legal, financial and work support consultations and workshops, personal development programs and information and referrals – that  empower Cape Cod women to achieve lasting positive change for themselves, their families and ultimately for the entire community. In 2017, WE CAN handled 13,500 calls and walk-ins and served nearly 3000 women – many of them in multiple programs.
Tickets to the April 25th event are $25 at www.thecurrentquarterly.com or at the door.
