Hyannis – the 7th Season of LoveLiveLocal’s LoveLocal Fests kicks off on Sunday, July 28 and promises another year of free, family fun overlooking Hyannis Harbor.
The LoveLocal Fests take place on the last Sundays in July and September on Aselton Park and feature over 75 local artists, artisans and makers who pop up for the day, food trucks, a beverage garden featuring local craft beers, ciders and wines, kids activities, and music from local bands.
Because LoveLiveLocal’s mission is to educate consumers about the importance of shopping local, the event also offers an opportunity for the community to show their support for the small business community. “Small, local businesses are the backbone of the Cape Cod community, but unfortunately they are under threat from this ever expanding digital economy,” LoveLiveLocal co-founder Amanda Converse said, “the LoveLocal Fests give people a chance to gather together to show their support for our mission and their local businesses.”
The July LoveLocal Fest runs from 11am-6pm with Melic Moon playing at 12pm and The Dirty Water Dance Band taking the stage at 3pm; and is generously sponsored by Cape Cod 5, Nauset Disposal and Studio 2 Entertainment.
LoveLiveLocal was founded in 2012 as a year-round lifestyle guide to and local business advocate for Cape Cod. The organization aims to bring a fresh look at what’s up and where to get down on Cape Cod, plus the best of what’s locally made, grown and crafted through emails, events, guides and more. Their mission is to foster an economically sustainable, creative and exciting future for the Cape and help all of those who love it to participate in keeping it special.
