Makepeace, Campanelli to develop apartments at Redbrook

Two multi-generational family businesses with deep ties to southeastern Massachusetts will team up to build a new rental neighborhood containing 184 apartments in the heart of Redbrook.
The A.D. Makepeace Company will partner with Campanelli, a third-generation developer based in Braintree, to create the apartments at Redbrook.
The new neighborhood, which was scheduled for review by the Plymouth Planning Board on Monday, will feature four buildings arrayed around a generous courtyard with a swimming pool and fitness center. The community will connect to abutting nature trails and open space.
“This is the most important milestone in the evolution of Redbrook since our first pioneering residents selected their homesites here,” said Michael P. Hogan, president and CEO of the A.D. Makepeace Company. “Campanelli’s quality and integrity make them a perfect fit with our first seven neighborhoods and the work that our first three residential homebuilder partners have done.”
“Campanelli is truly excited to partner with the A.D. Makepeace Company to bring another first class residential option to the residents of Redbrook,” said Dan DeMarco, partner of Campanelli.  “Our goal is to use our experience building luxury apartments to complement the inviting environment for residents that Redbrook already represents.”
The neighborhood will feature mostly one- and two-bedroom luxury apartments, with a small number of three-bedroom units. The buildings’ design features will be consistent with the Cape Cod feel of the existing Redbrook neighborhoods. Parking will be available under two of the buildings, which will be located across from The Green. Ten units are planned to be set aside as affordable.
Construction is scheduled to begin in late spring, with occupancy in summer 2019.
Three neighborhoods at Redbrook are complete, and four others, including one that features a new townhouse offering, are under construction. Existing builders are The Valle Group of East Falmouth, The Stabile Companies of Nashua, NH, and Whitman Homes of Canton.
Redbrook also currently features a full-service YMCA, and The Meeting House community center, which also contains the Redbrook sales and management offices as well as The Farmers Table, a café-style restaurant with a menu designed around their farm-to-table culinary philosophy.  At buildout, which will occur over a decade, Redbrook will include up to 1,200 homes, all within easy walking distance of the village center with some 60,000 square feet of commercial space. The village features more than 1,400 acres of preserved forest, with walking trails, kayak launches, ponds for fishing, swimming, and more.
Campanelli recently completed two other award-winning rental communities, in Norwood and Norton, MA and is currently leasing a 398-unit luxury apartment new development in Ashland known as Cirrus. With over six decades of successful experience having developed, built and acquired over 22 million square feet of property, Campanelli’s impeccable reputation in real estate development and investment stands as the foundation of our lasting relationships with an extensive list of repeat clients.
The A.D. Makepeace Company is developer of the award-winning Redbrook. The 164-year-old company is the world’s largest cranberry grower, the largest private property owner in eastern Massachusetts, and a recognized leader in environmentally responsible real estate development and stewardship.
