Burt Rice, chairman of the board for the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce, announced today that Kristie Ferrantella, the chamber’s president/CEO, will leave the chamber effective Oct. 1, for an unnamed island position.
Rice and the chamber’s executive committee are engaged in preparing for an expeditious search to identify a suitable candidate as quickly as reasonably possible given the considerable limitations imposed by COVID-19.
“Although Kristie’s tenure has been relatively brief, the chamber board of directors and members could not be happier with the support she provided island businesses and residents during what can only be characterized as an extremely challenging time,” said Rice. “We wish Kristie well and look forward to working with her as a member of the business community and neighbor.”
