Envision Bank Funds NeighborWorks Housing Solutions’ Programs

Envision Bank, headquartered in Quincy, has awarded NeighborWorks Housing Solutions two grants totaling $17,500 that will be directed towards first-time homebuyer and COVID relief programs.

The first grant of $7,500 will be directed to help fund NHS Homebuyer Education Classes, where first-time homebuyers are introduced to the information needed to successfully purchase their home, including choosing a realtor, finding the right home, repairing credit, securing financing, understanding home inspections, securing insurance, and maintaining a home. The class also provides information on the range of programs and financing resources available to first-time buyers.

The second donation of $10,000 will be directed toward NHS’s ongoing COVID relief efforts.  Many households in NHS’ southern Massachusetts service area continue to be impacted by the pandemic, and this donation will provide additional flexible resources to help meet ongoing needs of our clients.

“NHS has many incredible services that help people in our community, including offering classes that help clients purchase a home.  Being part of the solution, and providing our expertise in the home buying process is part of our corporate culture,” said Richard Olsen, senior vice president of retail banking and corporate marketing at Envision Bank.  “NHS has been on the ground floor helping people during these very unprecedented times.  These services have changed lives, and we are happy to support them.”

“We are more than grateful to Envision Bank for such generous donations in support of our programs and the people we serve,” said Robert Corley, CEO of NeighborWorks Housing Solutions.  “Many households we serve are still dealing with housing and food insecurity.  These donations will help us continue to educate future homebuyers, and help address some of the immediate needs of our clients.  Envision Bank is a true community partner, and we are delighted to be working with them.”
