Red Jacket Resorts is excited to welcome George Abbott as the new General Manager for Red Jacket Beach Resort in South Yarmouth, MA. A longtime Cape resident with a B.S. in Finance from Husson University and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University, George has more than 35 years of experience in the hotel industry from Cape Cod to Western Massachusetts to the Caribbean.
In his new role, he will manage the daily operations of the Red Jacket Beach Resort, an oceanfront resort in South Yarmouth with 164 guest rooms and vacation homes, dining, resort activities and guest services. Open seasonally from April to October, Red Jacket Beach Resort is located on a private beach on Nantucket Sound and welcomes vacationing families and couples, groups, corporate meetings, weddings and special events. The resort also features family activities, a complimentary kids club, water sports, indoor and outdoor pools. It is also the home of the Otis Cole Day Spa.
“We are excited to start the 2017 season with George at the helm. His background and expertise in hospitality management together with his familiarity of all things Cape Cod are the perfect combination to lead our flagship resort. He is a great addition to our Red Jacket Resorts team,” says Ken Smith, Vice President of Red Jacket Resorts.
In his spare time, Abbott enjoys fishing and golfing and is also a private pilot. He and his wife of 38 years reside in Barnstable Village and have two daughters.
