Jitka Borowick, owner of Nové, a yoga and wellness studio at 581 Main St. in West Dennis, will host a fund-raiser to benefit the Pan-Mass Challenge Saturday, July 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

All funds raised will support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research.

IMG 2940Borowick will be among cyclists riding in the two-day event, from Sturbridge to Provincetown, Aug. 7 and 8.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to come together and raise critical funds so that one day there will be a cure for cancer,” Borowick said of the fund-raiser. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer several years ago. “It was one of the worst days of my life. Sadly, I’m not the only one who has watched a loved one suffer from this horrible disease. While my mom is now in remission, others aren’t so lucky.”

For $25, people can participate in a special yoga class, from 3 to 4.30 p.m. at Nové taught by Terry Walsh or receive entry into the cocktail party, which starts at 5:30 and will feature a DJ, Czech wine, beer, and food from local businesses including Ardeo Cafe, Scargo Café, The Underground Bakery, Rory’s Market, The Filling Station Food Truck, Three Fins Coffee, Wills International and many more. There will also be raffles and a chance to win special prizes including a special PMC bracelet made by T. Jazelle.

Attendees can receive more perks the more they donate to the fundraiser, including access to both Saturday’s yoga class and cocktail party; online access to Nové’s virtual catalog of classes for one month; and in-studio unlimited access to Nové for one month.
