Pierce-Cotè Announces Appointments

Pierce-Cotè Advertising of Osterville has announced the appointment of award-winning journalists Geoffrey Spillane and Alexandra Speck to its team of communication professionals. They have been named Senior Account Executive and Account Executive, respectively, to the agency’s public relations team.

Spillane has been a reporter with The Cape Cod Times since 2015, covering breaking news, politics, government and the Town of Barnstable. He’s received multiple awards from the New England Newspaper and Press Association and has been a regular contributor on WCAI, reporting on local news issues. Prior to The Times, he served as senior news reporter with Falmouth-based Enterprise Newspapers.  His career also includes extensive experience with in-house corporate communications teams. Spillane received his BS at Babson College and is a resident of Mashpee.

Speck comes to Pierce-Cotè from Community Health Center of Cape Cod, where she served as Senior Giving Officer and Communications Associate since 2016. Prior to that she served as Director of Education and Grants for Cotuit Center for the Arts.  She’s also held faculty and teaching positions at Falmouth Academy, and worked as a reporter for WCAI where she was honored with two Edward R. Murrow Awards. Speck received her BA from Columbia University and then went on to attend the Medill Graduate School of Journalism at Northwestern University.  She is a resident of North Falmouth.
