As Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company moves forward in its plans to add bus service from Woods Hole to Logan Airport in Boston and to T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI., the company has announced its proposed bus fare for the Woods Hole to Logan Airport service.

P&B’s proposed pricing for a round trip bus ticket from Woods Hole to Logan Airport will be $66, plus a $3 service fee, for a total of $69.

“At this time, our proposed round trip ticket pricing from Woods Hole to Logan Airport will be a significant savings for similar transportation at Woods Hole,” said John Cogliano, president of Plymouth & Brockton. “Having more bus transportation options at Woods Hole benefits the public and ensures competitive pricing. The residents of Falmouth, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket should be provided more transportation options and compare pricing for regular daily bus service at Woods Hole.”

Cogliano said that P&B has worked out an agreement with the Falmouth Economic Development & Industrial Corporation to allow Plymouth & Brockton’s buses to stop at Falmouth Station in the center of town.

“The only issue holding us back from starting bus service in Falmouth is the Steamship Authority,” he said. “We need to finalize an access license agreement with the Steamship Authority which will allow P&B buses at Woods Hole to pick up and drop off ferry passengers traveling to and from Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.”

In March 2020, the request by Plymouth and Brockton for an access license agreement to provide bus service from Woods Hole was on the agenda for the Steamship Authority Board. In June 2020, at a Steamship Authority Board and Port Council Joint Meeting, Port Council members had recommended the proposed Plymouth and Brockton bus service to Boston and Logan Airport and TF Green Airport in Rhode Island and advised the Steamship Authority General Manager Bob Davis to work out the access license agreement with Plymouth & Brockton.

“The process with the Steamship Authority has been moving forward slower than we had hoped,” Cogliano said.

Currently, P&B’s Airport Express provides a new, daily bus service from Hyannis, with stops in Barnstable, Sagamore, New Bedford and Fall River, and the final destination at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, R.I. P&B has a long established bus route from Hyannis to Boston and Logan Airport which makes stops on the Cape and the South Shore.
