Rock Harbor Grill at 18 Old Colony Way, Orleans has launched Team Tuesdays, where 100 of their nightly revenue on Tuesdays will be donated to their staff.
Since Gov. Baker’s announcement that restaurants could only provide takeout food, most of the staff of 50 was laid off or have very limited hours. The restaurant is offering curbside takeout every night with their full menu. Owners Chuck and Meredith Konner are hopeful that the money they raise will carry their staff through until they restaurant completely re-opens.
The first Team Tuesday held March 17 was a huge success, the Konners said.
“I couldn’t believe the amount of people that came out and donated. I was astounded by the generosity of our community and how they care for our staff,” said Chuck Konner. “People are good in times of need.”

Rock Harbor Grill opened in 2013, is open year-round and employs 50 people. Konner is also is co-owner of Grill 43 in Yarmouth and La Bella Vita in Orleans, a new Italian restaurant opening this spring.
