Rossi Appointed to Flood Insurance National Committee

Joe Rossi, vice president and flood specialist at RogersGray, has been appointed to the Flood Insurance Producers National Committee by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association .

This national committee works closely with the Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration to provide expertise in the areas of flood insurance product design and development, insight on marketing and servicing the National Flood Insurance Program and guidance in the overall operation of the NFIP.  The FIPNC also provides professional advice and counsel on all issues related to insurance agents’ involvement in the NFIP and flood insurance.

Rossi is one of only six agents nationally on the committee and one of the two representatives from the IIABA.

Recognized nationally as a flood specialist, Rossi has helped extend RogersGray’s coastal expertise with his vast depth and understanding of flood issues and legislation. He holds an Associate of National Flood Insurance and a Certified Floodplain Manager certification, one of the highest certifications in the flood insurance industry. Rossi is also  chair and executive director of the Massachusetts Coastal Coalition, a regional and national nonprofit which educates, advocates, and informs stakeholders on all flood hazards.

In addition, Rossi is co-chair of the National Flood Association’s Legislative Committee, Board Member on the Independent Insurance Agent and Brokers Association’s Flood Insurance Task Force, Chair of the Town of Marshfield, Massachusetts’s Community Rating System (CRS) committee, and Board Member for the Massachusetts Association of Floodplain Management.

A graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, Rossi resides in Carver and works with clients across the United States.
