On Monday, March 19, Mid-Cape Home Centers hosted Massachusetts State Senator Julian Cyr for a tour of its South Dennis location at 465 Route 134, South Dennis, MA.
Senator Cyr, who represents the Cape and Islands district, had the opportunity to tour Mid-Cape Home Centers’ store, as well as the Estimating Department, custom millwork shop, and lumber yard. The Senator also met with company leaders including Jack Stevenson, President of Mid-Cape Home Centers, to discuss the needs of small businesses in the area.
Stevenson shares, “It’s refreshing to meet with the next generation of leaders and voice our concerns regarding the local economy. It’s clear Senator Cyr wants to make a difference. It makes you feel good about the direction being taken to address big picture issues facing the Cape and Islands.”
Owner Jeff Plank adds, “It was great to have Senator Cyr visit Mid-Cape. We are very enthused about his proposed streamlining and supportive changes to some of the building regulations in an effort to make improvements to the local housing market and Cape infrastructure.”
Mid-Cape Home Centers hosted the Senator as part of the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association’s Legislative Yard Tour initiative, which connects lumberyards throughout the Northeast with their elected officials in order to share the needs of local businesses.
