The South Shore Chamber of Commerce (www.southshorechamber.org) announces that George Toma of Hull, CEO of George Washington Toma TV and Appliance, headquartered in East Weymouth has been named Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
In this capacity, Toma, who has been at the helm of George Washington Toma for 30 years, will work closely with Chamber CEO Peter Forman to help lead the Chamber’s more than 1300 members; he follows outgoing Chair Alan Macdonald.
George Washington Toma TV and Appliance has served the South Shore for more than 65 years.
A resident of Hull, Toma also serves as a Board member of both The Arc of South Shore and The New England Appliance and Electronics Group. He is Director of Power Lifting for the Massachusetts Special Olympics and a Corporator for S-Bank.
