South Shore Stars Announces Electro Switch Corp. As Sponsor

South Shore Stars has announced their Galaxy Sponsor for their upcoming 50th Anniversary Celebration:  Electro Switch Corp.

South Shore Stars is a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive early education and youth development programs through a family-support approach.  Stars has served as a resource for working parents on the South Shore since 1970.

Stars will be celebrating a half-century of providing the highest quality programs to thousands of families and the South Shore’s most vulnerable children.  The 50th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. at Lombardo’s in Randolph and will feature a signature cocktail reception, a full dinner, and a program that honors the five facets of Stars:  the founders, government leaders, corporate supporters, community partners and staff.

Electro Switch has been a supporter of Stars for many years and has increased its commitment this year with its sponsorship of $10,000.  Headquartered in Weymouth, with more than 70 years of design and manufacturing experience, Electro Switch offers  high reliability switches, relays, power meters and battery monitors that support critical power and control applications for the electric utility, defense, and industrial industries.

Organizations that serve as sponsors for the 50th Anniversary Celebration support the Stars Constellation Fund, which was established to achieve the following goals:  increasing support for the growing number of children who have experienced trauma; providing additional focus on social and emotional development; developing and fulfilling an agency-wide family support and engagement plan; expanding programming for older youth; and deploying technology to better serve children.

“We are proud to partner with Electro Switch and truly appreciate their support,” said Sheri Adlin, executive director of South Shore Stars.  “We look forward to the gala as an opportunity to celebrate 50 years of tremendous effort, and progress, as well as a time to pause and reflect and show our gratitude to everyone that has contributed to who we are today.”
