The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, in partnership with the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, addresses recent economic trends and looks ahead to the summer season during the latest installment of its “Twenty-Minute Tuesdays” series.

The new edition of the monthly online Q&A video series, which provides local businesses and nonprofit organizations access to The Coop’s expert team, features Bank Chair, President and CEO Lisa Oliver and is hosted by Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce CEO Wendy Northcross.

The prerecorded Q&A session can be viewed now on the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce landing page here.

“Businesses on Cape Cod are preparing for what promises to be a very busy summer season, despite the pandemic,” said Oliver. “The Coop stands ready to assist local businesses as they navigate challenges – expected and unexpected – during this anything but typical summer.”

Topics discussed include liquidity and reserves from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for businesses as they head into the summer season; timing of PPP funding rounds and how it has impacted local seasonal businesses; predictions of robust leisure travel to Cape Cod this summer; recruiting challenges, especially with H-2B visa employees; and housing affordability in the region.
