The COOP Launches “Breakfast with a Banker” Free Seminar Series

The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod will launch a new seminar series in May with two seminars focused on the growing concerns business owners face surrounding cyber security.  The seminars, titled Electronic Security Awareness and Online Banking, will offer advice and information on how business owners can protect themselves from electronic security threats and how to leverage technology to create efficiencies in your business.
The seminars will be presented by led by experts from The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.  John Cooke is the Bank’s Digital Banking Manager and Paul Forni is the Bank’s Information Security Officer.
Topics will include Massachusetts Data Privacy laws, identifying strengths and weaknesses in security systems, and how to leverage technology to create efficiencies.  Business owners will also have an open forum to offer suggestions on how the Bank can make banking easier and what technology offerings would help them grow.  The sessions are free and light breakfast will be provided.
The first session will take place on Thursday, May 10 from 8 – 9:30 AM at the Hearth ‘n Kettle, 1196 Route 28, in South Yarmouth.  The second session will take place on Tuesday, May 15 from 8 – 9 :30 AM at Persy’s Place, 52 Falmouth Road, in Mashpee.  Attendees are encouraged to pre-register at www.mycapecodbank.com (Please register by May 3).
These events are the first in a new series of quarterly seminars that The Coop will be hosting throughout the year.  Future seminars will cover topics including cash management solutions for businesses, retirement and succession planning, and tips for understanding the new tax laws.  Details and dates will be announced at mycapecodbank.com.
