The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod will host a free seminar titled “Cybersecurity – Strategies for Businesses” on Tuesday, June 4 from 8-9:30 AM at the newly opened Everleigh Independent Living Community in Hyannis. A panel of experts will discuss the trends and technologies that should influence businesses’ cyber security strategy.
“These days, it’s not a matter of if your company will be targeted by cybercriminals, but when,” said Paul Forni, AVP Information Security Officer at The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. “As recent events have shown, businesses and even not-for profit organizations on Cape Cod are not immune to the threat of cybercriminals. The goal of this panel is to arm local business owners and managers with the tools and techniques to avoid falling victim.”
Panelists will include Paul Forni, AVP Information Security Officer at The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod; Adam Trivilino, VP Consultant – Business Insurance at Rogers & Gray Insurance; and Kevin MacArthur, President of Secure Biz Networks.  Marc Goldberg, Executive Director of SCORE Cape Cod and the Islands, will serve as moderator.
Discussion points will include how to protect infrastructure, insurance considerations, employee education, things to watch out for in the day-to-day business operations and more.  The seminar is free and light breakfast will be provided.
Everleigh Cape Cod is located at 265 Communication Way in Hyannis. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register at www.mycapecodbank.com.
