The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod recently donated $3500 to the Harwich Ecumenical Council on Housing (HECH).
The funds will support The Children’s Center, which is a self-supporting program of HECH. The Center provides accessible, affordable daycare and early education for low-moderate income families on the Cape.
“There is a critical need for accessible, affordable daycare and early education on Cape Cod,” said Abigail Newberry-West, Director of The Children’s Center.  “Our families include single parents and guardians, dual parents and guardians, foster homes, and grandparents raising grandchildren. This generous donation from The Coop will help us continue to support the most vulnerable families with young children in our community.”
“We’re thrilled to support the HECH and the Children’s Center,” said Lisa Oliver, President of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.  “Their work is so important for keeping families afloat and helping develop a strong foundation for the children in our community who need it most.”
The donation was part of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod’s Community Reinvestment Act commitment.
